"Dogs have owners, cats have staff." And that includes photographers. Even with an expert cat handler, the cats dictate how the photo shoot goes. Because they are kept in small quarters, when you bring them into a larger room with a back drop it takes them a while to warm up. I think that potential cat adopters are most attracted to the cat's eyes. A body shot is also important, but the eyes show the cat's personality. The potential adopter asks "Can I connect with this kitty? Do I want to meet him/her?"
